Employee Spotlight: Charissa Santos, Product Manager

At OspreyData, we value our amazing team and appreciate the uniqueness of each individual, as it makes us a complete team! Here, we will introduce one of our great team members!

Your Name: Charissa Santos

Your Role at OspreyData: Product Manager

Brief description of your training, education, experience:

I did undergrad at SCI-Arc, an independent architecture & design school in the Arts District of Downtown LA. It was a great place that fostered experimentation, creativity & finding your own answers to your own questions. Various steps in my career led me to tech where I feel that those principles fit in perfectly!

How long have you been with OspreyData?: I’ve been with OspreyData since Fall 2014. It’s great to look back from then to now and see how much the team & product have grown since then.

What’s your favorite thing about working at OspreyData?: Everyone here really cares about the questions we’re asking and the problems we’re trying to solve, and people do everything they can to encourage each other and pitch in to help. Our team is really diverse in talents and skills, but is also so diverse culturally & geographically. I’m amazed at how well we work together in different cities, states, and now countries! And everyone makes me laugh!

What are 3 words you’d use to describe OspreyData?: Collaborative, Customer-Focused, Ambitious

What are your favorite hobbies?: Traveling, Road Trips, Exploring L.A.’s restaurants, Going to Shows & Festivals, Cooking, Wine Tasting

What does a perfect day look like for you?:Stepping off the plane in a new city. Finding all the art, design, history and nature it has to offer, maybe with a local. Ending with a long dinner and wine in an amazing natural setting or interesting building.

If you won the lottery, what is the first thing you would do?: Spend two years living all over Japan & Italy. In Japan, climb Mount Fuji and explore the entire country by train. In Italy, spend time in every region learning how to cook with the masters.
